WFL Utrecht 2026: A martial arts evening you won’t forget in a hurry
On 27 June 2026, the World Fighting League (WFL) descended on Utrecht for an event that will long be remembered by martial arts fans. With a virtually sold-out venue, a strong fight card and excellent organisation, it was an evening full of spectacle, excitement and unforgettable moments.

From the moment the doors opened, there was a special atmosphere in the venue. Despite the warm summer temperatures, the organisers had gone to great lengths to ensure the comfort of both the audience and the fighters. Large fans provided cooling in the packed venue, which was greatly appreciated by both visitors and participants.
The fight card was packed with quality. Several fighters with experience in the GLORY Kickboxing organisation stepped into the ring, ensuring a high standard throughout the evening. The audience was treated to technical bouts, spectacular knock-outs and matches in which the will to win was palpable.
One of the highlights of the evening was the no fewer than five A-class title fights. The championship bouts delivered everything combat sports fans hope to see: technique, fighting spirit, heart and excitement right up to the very last second. In addition, the B-class four-man tournament provided extra spectacle, with the participants giving their all in their quest for tournament victory.
The N-class bouts also made a strong impression. The bouts were excellently matched and produced exciting contests in which young talents were able to showcase their skills. The same was true of the C-class bouts, where the match-making was particularly strong. The bouts were closely matched in terms of ability, meaning virtually every contest remained thrilling right up to the end.

What made this edition of the WFL particularly special was the fact that several A-class fighters had to step in as substitutes at the last minute. Despite their limited preparation, they managed to put on spectacular fights. Their dedication, professionalism and perseverance .
The combination of strong organisation, an enthusiastic crowd, high-quality bouts and an excellent atmosphere ensured that WFL Utrecht 2026 became an event that will not be forgotten in a hurry. Well into the night, those in attendance enjoyed top-class combat sports, proving once again that the Dutch kickboxing scene is very much alive.
