SENSHI 29 – Bulgaria, VARNA on December 6, 2025: An Unfortunate Struggle for Dexter Suisse!

Anticipation hung thick in the air as the kickboxing world gathered in atmospheric Varna, Bulgaria, for SENSHI 29 on 6 December 2025. One of the most talked about fights of the evening would be that between the talented Dexter Suisse and his formidable opponent, Stoforidis. Both fighters were known for their explosive style and determination, which promised a confrontation full of excitement.

From the moment the first gong sounded, it was clear that the opening round would be a careful testing of each other’s strengths and strategies. Dexter Suisse, known for his quick combinations and ability to counterpunch, tried to find the distance and read his opponent. He manoeuvred deftly, looking for openings, while Stoforidis also applied cautious yet penetrating pressure. Knowing that any moment could produce a breakthrough.

In one of his characteristic attacks, Suisse placed a sharp low kick to the inside of his opponent’s leg. It was a common and effective technique, designed to limit Stoforidis’ mobility. However, what followed was an unexpected and shocking turn of events that no one had seen coming. Immediately after the impact, Suisse felt discomfort, but in the heat of the battle he ignored it at first. At the time, he had no sense of the severity of the injury he had sustained to his right shin.

It was not long before the experienced referee, with a keen eye for the welfare of the fighters, intervened. He saw something he did not like and momentarily ordered Suisse to the side of the ring. To his shock and that of those present, it soon became clear what was going on: a deep, bleeding wound marred Suisse’s shin. The medical staff was there immediately and the conclusion was quickly drawn. Suisse’s earlier kick, presumably due to an unfortunate landing or collision with a solid bone from his opponent, had resulted in a split tibia.

The medical team acted appropriately and carefully wrapped Suisse’s tibia, but the diagnosis was unrelenting. The injury was too serious to continue the fight. With a heavy heart, the referee had to end the match. It was an abrupt and unfortunate end to what looked to be a promising fight. For Dexter Suisse, this was a huge bummer. The disappointment could be read off his face; after months of intense training and preparation, his night in Varna ended in a way no fighter wishes. The dream of a win at SENSHI 29 was over in one fell swoop, and the road to recovery would now become the focus.
