B sides show sheer fighting spirit
The B-matches were absolute proof of what high-level martial arts means. The fighters showed unprecedented willpower and mental toughness, alternating between heavy combinations and well thought-out tactics. Not for a moment were they switched back; every match was a fight to the limit. The audience was treated to duels centred on character, discipline and passion – exactly what makes this class so special.

N and C Parties provide spectacle and surprises
The N and C sides also made a big impression. To the surprise of Knockoutnews, which has now attended numerous galas, the high number of heavy knockouts in these categories immediately stood out. The intensity, explosiveness and technical skills were at a remarkably high level. Regularly, the level of fighting was reminiscent of that of higher classes, underlining the enormous development and depth of talent within these divisions.

Heavy K.O.
Strong matchmaking as the foundation of success
An important part of the evening’s success was played by the matchmaker, who had done a visibly skilled job. The matches were carefully composed, resulting in competitive battles with excitement from start to finish. This balance between equality and spectacle ensured that not a single moment waned and every match managed to captivate the audience.

WPKL
Professional organisation down to the last detail
Organisationally, too, NL LEGENDS Woerden stood like a house. The WPKL federation and the referees enforced the rules strictly and professionally, with an eye for the fighters’ safety. The ring announcer managed to set the right atmosphere with his powerful and professional announcements, while the presence and short speech of the director of the NVB further underlined the importance and status of the event.
A gala that raises the bar
NL LEGENDS Woerden proved that it is among the leading martial arts events in the Netherlands. Knockout news looks back with great appreciation on an evening full of passion, quality and craftsmanship and sees this edition as a new benchmark within the Dutch martial arts scene. Expectations for the next edition are high – and rightly so.
