The kickboxing match between Thian de Vries and Kevin Van Heeckeren promised to be a spectacle from the start, and that quickly proved to be true. In the first round, Thian immediately put on high pressure, determined to seize control of the ring. Kevin Van Heeckeren, however, was not intimidated and parried the attack with a direct counterattack. The two fighters exchanged hard punches; Thian showed excellent evasiveness, but nevertheless landed a number of ragged blows.

Thian did not allow himself to be dominated and further increased the pressure. His aggressive approach nearly resulted in a knockdown of Kevin Van Heeckeren at the end of the first round. Although Kevin got up, it was clear that Thian had dominated the round.

The second round began with Thian determined to finish the job. He kept up the pressure and managed to get Kevin down again. This time Kevin was visibly stricken. The referee was watching the situation closely, and the moment of decision was approaching.

Finally, during a fierce fight, Thian de Vries managed to knock out Kevin Van Heeckeren at 1 minute and 57 seconds of the second round. The crowd erupted in cheers as Thian was declared the winner. This victory marked Thian’s 33rd win, including an impressive 30 at K.O.

However, the joy proved to be short-lived. After the bout, it came to light that Thian de Vries had broken his hand on the first left jab he threw in the first round. Despite the intense pain, Thian had fought on and won. This showed not only his talent and perseverance, but also the sacrifices that fighters sometimes have to make to reach the top. The victory had been celebrated, but Thian de Vries now faced a period of recovery, knowing that the price of victory was a broken hand.
