PFP PRIME FIGHT PROMOTIONS SETS NIJMEGEN ABLaze: SIX TITLE FIGHTS, A STAR-STUDDED LINE-UP AND A COMEBACK FULL OF CHARACTER!

NIJMEGEN – Saturday 17 October 2026 was an evening where passion, fighting spirit and perseverance came together. Prime Fight Promotions (PFP) pulled out all the stops with no fewer than six title fights and proved once again just how spectacular the sport of kickboxing can be. With the main event between Dani Regter and Jordy Cornelissen and Lonneke Sterken’s impressive comeback, the audience were treated to a martial arts evening that was absolutely well worth the effort.

Six title fights, six times with everything on the line

Prime Fight Promotions had put together a particularly strong programme. Two C-class title fights, two B-class title fights and two A-class title fights formed the ingredients of an evening centred around the championship belts.

The beauty of this format lay in the combination of up-and-coming talent and experienced fighters. For some, this evening marked an important step towards the top, whilst others sought to further cement their place within the world of kickboxing.

A title fight is never just any old match. It is the moment when months of preparation, discipline and sacrifice come together. As soon as the bell rings, the only thing that counts is what a fighter can demonstrate in the ring.

Dani vs Jordy

Dani Regter versus Jordy Cornelissen: the main event with high stakes

One of the absolute highlights of the event was the main event between Dani Regter and Jordy Cornelissen.

A clash that perfectly matched the spirit of the evening: ambition, fighting spirit and the will to prove oneself at the highest level.

There was a lot at stake for both fighters. Not only sporting honour, but also the chance to make a strong mark in the A-class.

Matches like this give an event extra prestige. Two fighters facing each other with the same goal: to leave the ring feeling that they have given their all.

Lonneke Sterken

Lonneke Sterken: a comeback that commands respect

Perhaps one of the most impressive stories of the evening was the return of Lonneke Sterken.

After a long period of rehabilitation, during which she had to work hard on her recovery, she was finally back where her heart lies: in the ring.

A prolonged absence is a gruelling ordeal for any fighter. Not only physically, but mentally too. The road back requires patience, character and an enormous amount of perseverance.

But Lonneke showed why you should never underestimate a true fighter.

With an exceptionally strong performance, she made an impressive comeback. Her display radiated determination and showed that her hunger for the sport is still very much alive.

Her comeback was more than just a return to the ring. It was proof that a true fighter’s mentality does not disappear when the going gets tough.

For Knockoutnieuws, this was without doubt one of the stories that gave this edition extra significance.

Prime Fight Promotions proves that kickboxing is alive and well

What made this edition of Prime Fight Promotions so appealing was the versatility of the programme.

Six title bouts spread across three weight classes demonstrate that the organisation not only focuses on established names, but also offers opportunities to talented fighters who are building their futures.

After all, the sport of kickboxing isn’t solely about famous champions. It’s also about young fighters who dream of a title, sportspeople who want to surpass themselves time and time again, and athletes who want to come back stronger after setbacks.

It is precisely these stories that give an event its character.

An evening that leaves you wanting more

On 17 October 2026, Prime Fight Promotions staged an event that showcased the quality, ambition and character present within kickboxing and boxing.

From the six title fights to the main event between Dani Regter and Jordy Cornelissen: the programme offered plenty of reasons to make the trip to Nijmegen.

But amidst all the championship ambitions, it was above all Lonneke Sterken’s comeback that demonstrated just how special this sport can be.

For titles can be won and lost, but the courage to step back into the ring after a difficult period deserves at least as much respect.

With this edition, Prime Fight Promotions has once again demonstrated that building a strong combat sports platform means more than just organising matches. It’s about creating opportunities, nurturing talent and giving fighters a stage on which their stories come to life.

Knockoutnieuws looks back on an impressive evening of combat sports in Nijmegen. An evening full of ambition, character and passion. An evening that proves why kickboxing and boxing continue to captivate so many people.

Chahid Hammouti

CHAHID HAMMOUTI REMAINS UNBEATEN AFTER STRONG COMEBACK AND LOOKS AHEAD TO CLASH WITH THIAN DE VRIES!

ALMERE – 10 October 2026 | SPE Sportmanie

During the SPE Sportmanie – Don’t Call It a Comeback II event in Almere, Chahid Hammouti once again demonstrated why he is one of the sport’s undefeated fighters. Facing Italian Angelo Mirno, Hammouti had a difficult opening round, but with character, perseverance and a strong comeback, he still managed to turn the fight in his favour.

Angelo Mirno surprises in the first round

From the very first round, the Italian Angelo Mirno showed that he hadn’t come to Almere just to hand over a victory on a plate. With a few hard and well-placed strikes, he managed to surprise Hammouti and put him under immediate pressure.

But Hammouti did not let himself be thrown off balance. Despite his opponent’s strong opening round, he remained focused and determined to defend his unbeaten record.

Hammouti takes complete control of the fight

In the second round, the complexion of the bout changed. Hammouti found his rhythm more and more, took the initiative and managed to put the Italian under pressure with his attacks.

Hammouti continued his strong performance in the third round as well. Whilst Mirno still managed to spring a few surprises early on, it was Hammouti who managed to turn the match in his favour in the final two rounds.

The result: another victory for Chahid Hammouti, who thus retains his unbeaten record.

A potential showdown with Thian de Vries?

After the fight, Knockoutnieuws spoke to Hammouti in an exclusive interview. The conversation also touched on a particularly interesting potential future opponent: Thian de Vries.

Both fighters remain undefeated, and Hammouti is looking forward to one day facing De Vries in the ring.

Such a clash would undoubtedly attract a great deal of interest within the kickboxing world. Two undefeated fighters, each with their own strengths, who are prepared to prove themselves against the toughest opposition.

For the time being, no official date has been set and the bout is not yet scheduled. But the mere prospect of…

Mohamed Hamami

MOHAMED HAMAMI MAKES AN IMPRESSION IN ALMERE: HIGHLY ANTICIPATED TOP-FLIGHT BATTLE ENDS IN A SPECTACULAR TKO!

ALMERE – The SPE Sportmanie event in Almere featured a long-awaited main event between Mohamed Hamami and Hamza Soesie. It was a clash the crowd had been eagerly anticipating, with the support from the audience clearly in Hamza Soesie’s favour. But once in the ring, Mohamed Hamami showed that it is not the support of the crowd, but performance in the ring that counts.

One round was enough

From the very first moment, Mohamed Hamami exuded control and determination. With a disciplined approach, excellent timing and convincing attacks, he managed to put his opponent under pressure.

Despite the massive support for Hamza Soesie, Hamami did not let himself be rattled. He remained focused, stuck to his game plan and managed to land several hard blows on Soesie.

On two occasions, Hamza was visibly reeling on his feet following Hamami’s powerful strikes. The referee eventually stepped in and decided to stop the fight as early as the first round.

The result: a convincing victory by technical knockout (TKO) for Mohamed Hamami.

Knockoutnieuws speaks to the winner

After the fight, Knockoutnieuws was on hand to interview Mohamed Hamami about his convincing victory. In the interview, we look back at the main event, his performance in the ring and the significance of this TKO victory.

SPORTMANIE MAKES A POWERFUL COMEBACK AFTER TEN YEARS: A COMEBACK SET TO SHAKE THE WORLD OF COMBAT SPORTS TO ITS VERY FOUNDATIONS!

Ten years out of the spotlight, but far from forgotten. Sportmanie Events is set to make an impressive comeback on 10 October 2026 with ‘Don’t Call It a Comeback II’ at the Topsportcentrum Almere. And anyone looking at the fight card will see straight away that the organisation isn’t returning to make a cautious restart. From the very first edition, Sportmanie aims to make its mark on the world of combat sports once again.

SPE

Already an established name ten years ago

Anyone who still remembers Sportmanie from ten years ago will know that, at the time, this organisation was one of the biggest and most prominent names in the world of combat sports. Sportmanie set itself apart with compelling events, strong fighters and a presence that impressed both the public and the athletes.

After an absence of no less than ten years, the organisation is now making a comeback that is immediately grabbing attention. Not a modest relaunch, but an evening where its ambitions are clearly on display.

A fight card that makes an immediate impression

With names such as Hamza Essalih, Tayfun Ozcan, Younes Smaili and Burak Poyraz, Sportmanie presents a line-up that shows the organisation is taking its return very seriously.

The other bouts also promise to be explosive. The combination of talent, experience and international opponents makes this comeback, on paper at least, an event that kickboxing fans can look forward to.

What other organisations sometimes take several editions to build up, Sportmanie is aiming to achieve straight away on its return: a strong line-up, a strong image and an event that counts once again.

Not just any comeback, but a new ambition

The title ‘Don’t Call It a Comeback II’ seems perfectly chosen. After all, anyone who returns after a ten-year absence with such a strong fight card straight away is sending a clear signal.

Sportmanie doesn’t just want to reminisce about the past, but above all to show what the future might hold.

This edition could well mark the start of a new chapter in which the organisation once again secures a prominent place within the world of combat sports.

If Sportmanie can maintain this momentum, there are opportunities to stage even bigger events, attract stronger international opponents and deliver more impressive productions in the coming years.

SPE

All eyes on Almere

On Saturday 10 October 2026, we’ll find out whether Sportmanie can live up to its impressive plans in the ring.

One thing is certain: with its return and striking fight card, the organisation has set expectations high.

Sportmanie made a name for itself ten years ago. Ten years on, the organisation wants to prove that that name still carries weight.

And perhaps that is the most powerful message of this comeback: Sportmanie is not returning to start from the bottom again, but to build on the reputation it had already established ten years ago.

Berre Vanduffel vs Thian De Vries

Tilburg – 26 September 2026

On Saturday 26 September 2026, Enfusion delivered an evening of spectacle, hard-hitting knock-outs, title fights and strong performances in Tilburg. From the opening bouts right through to the main event, the crowd remained captivated.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening came from Dani Regter, who was fighting his final bout in the B class. Regter made a statement straight away. In the second round, he landed a hard knee on his opponent, sending him crashing to the canvas. An impressive end to his time in the B division.

The four-man tournament also provided plenty of excitement. Anouar Afakir fought his way through the tournament impressively and was ultimately able to take the coveted belt home with him. An achievement that rounded off his evening perfectly.

Berre Vanduffel

Berre Vanduffel also emerged victorious from his title fight. Vanduffel once again demonstrated why he ranks amongst the top names in Enfusion and was able to pose with the championship belt afterwards.

The MMA bout also added some extra variety to the evening. Moreover, there was a well-known Dutch guest amongst the audience: Najib Amhali. The comedian also proved to be a fan of combat sports and was clearly enjoying the spectacle in Tilburg.

Thian De Vries (TARZAN)

The absolute highlight of the evening was the bout between Thian de Vries and Ulric Modju Bokeme. As we’ve seen De Vries do on numerous occasions, he wasted no time. He applied pressure right from the start and landed a blow as early as the first round.

The referee was forced to step in and stop the bout, meaning De Vries once again won by TKO.

With this victory, Thian “Tarzan” de Vries takes his impressive record to 36 wins, no fewer than 32 of which have come by knockout.

An evening of spectacular finishes, champions, tournament victories and yet another compelling main event made Enfusion Tilburg an event that the martial arts fans in attendance are unlikely to forget in a hurry.

WFL Utrecht shines with ambitious young talents: Mahumud wins the four-man tournament and Nouri de Jager takes the main event

Utrecht – 20 September 2026

On 20 September, WFL Utrecht hosted an evening where the intensity was palpable right from the very first bout. At the Gietijzer, visitors were treated to a varied fight card featuring N, C, B and A-class bouts, complemented by a spectacular four-man tournament and a main event in which Nouri de Jager rounded off his evening in style.

What stood out in particular was the hunger shown by the fighters from the various classes. The N and C classes were by no means overshadowed by the more experienced participants. On the contrary: several bouts were fought at such a high tempo and with such conviction that the difference in class was barely noticeable from the sidelines. The young and less experienced fighters didn’t just come to get some fighting time under their belts, but clearly to make their mark.

Petrus Zagatiti

Mahumud clinches victory in the four-man tournament

One of the absolute highlights of WFL Utrecht was the four-man tournament. The format added extra excitement, as a fighter who secured an initial victory had to be ready to step back into the ring later that evening.

Mahumud ultimately claimed victory in the four-man tournament. His path to the title made the tournament one of the events the audience watched with great interest. In a format where fitness, recovery, tactics and mental resilience all play a part, he managed to showcase his qualities at just the right moment.

The four-man tournament was therefore not merely an addition to the fight card, but one of the elements that gave this edition of the WFL its own distinctive character.

Mahumud Karoo Giahi

Nouri de Jager wins the main event

Nouri de Jager also enjoyed a successful evening. In the main event, he managed to win his bout, bringing the programme to a strong close. The main event was the finale of an evening in which both experienced fighters and new talent were given the chance to prove themselves to the audience.

Nouri de Jager

The N and C divisions made a remarkably strong impression

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this edition was that it wasn’t just the big names or the higher classes that provided the spectacle. The fighting spirit was particularly fierce in the N and C classes. Players fought hard to gain ground, combinations were executed with conviction, and no one seemed content merely to see the game through to the end.

At various points, these bouts were virtually indistinguishable in intensity from fights in a higher class. This says not only something about the fighters’ attitude, but also about the way the bouts were organised.

Matchmaking ensures exciting bouts

Matchmaking played a key role in this. Many opponents were closely matched in ability, meaning that every round was a genuine battle. There were no bouts in which one fighter could easily dominate, but rather matches in which both sides were forced to keep working hard and find solutions.

This message Mahumud wins four-man tournament, Nouri de Jager triumphs in the main event was first published on KnockOutNieuws.

Nextreme 7 MMA

Aalsmeer – 19 September 2026

NEXTREME MMA 7 in Aalsmeer proved to be an event not to be forgotten in a hurry. The evening was packed with action and featured a striking number of bouts that ended by TKO in the very first round. This ensured a fast-paced event and plenty of spectacle for the audience in attendance.

One of the major highlights was the four-man tournament for the Featherweight title. In the semi-finals, Jamie Jong faced Bas Voor Den Dag, whilst Nizami Ghulaman took on Souleymanou Adamou. Ultimately, it was Nizami Ghulaman who emerged as the tournament winner and claimed the Featherweight title.

Nizami Ghulaman

A four-man tournament for the welterweight title was also on the programme. Bryan Ribeiro faced Pawel Kasprzyk, whilst Hakob Chatalbashyan took on Gavin Luijendijk. At the end of the tournament, it was Gavin Luijendijk who emerged victorious and claimed the Welterweight title.

Another standout story of the evening came from Edgar Liparitjan. After another fighter withdrew, he was unexpectedly given the chance to compete in a grappling bout. Liparitjan showed he was up to the challenge and ultimately won both bouts. In doing so, he put in a strong performance on an evening when he had not initially been scheduled to fight twice.

In addition to the MMA and grappling bouts, the audience were also treated to two kickboxing bouts. This gave the event a nice mix of different disciplines within combat sports.

Gavin Luijendijk

Unfortunately, the scheduled main event could not go ahead. The bout was cancelled because the agreed weight limit was not met. It was a disappointment for the audience, but the many other bouts and early finishes more than made up for it.

NEXTREME MMA 7 proved itself in Aalsmeer to be a well-organised event packed with action, title bouts and surprising moments. In particular, the large number of first-round TKOs gave the evening a spectacular flavour.

With Nizami Ghulaman as Featherweight champion, Gavin Luijendijk as Welterweight champion and Edgar Liparitjan’s remarkable double victory, NEXTREME MMA 7 produced several memorable moments.

19 September 2026 thus became an evening centred on speed, competition and spectacle.

WFL – War for the Crown

WAR FOR THE CROWN: on 3 October, the Lotto Arena will become the battleground for the heavyweights

ANTWERP – Forget an ordinary fight night. On 3 October 2026, the Lotto Arena will host an evening where a single moment, a single punch and a single mistake could be enough to shatter a dream. With War for the Crown, WFL brings a heavyweight spectacle to Antwerp in which only one thing matters: survival and getting closer to the crown.

Sixteen heavyweights. One journey. One crown.

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

That is the essence of War for the Crown.

With this concept, WFL isn’t simply organising a series of matches, but is building a contest in which reputation is no guarantee, strength alone is not enough, and every opponent poses a threat. On 3 October, a new phase of that quest begins in Antwerp.

Names such as Jahfarr Wilnis, Ivan Efimov, Malong Konta, Dexter Suisse, Massinissa Hamail, Jeremy Mercera, André Schmeling, Mikolaj Dyc, Claudio Istrate, Bruno Chavez, Vasile Amaritei, Naim Hebbar, Hamza Ourahou, Ouail Ibn Youssef and Fares Bainine bring together exactly what heavyweight fans come for: stature, explosiveness and the knowledge that a fight is never truly safe.

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

No room for recovery

In a normal match, a fighter can sometimes take their time to get into their stride. Here, things are different.

Anyone competing in a tournament for the crown knows that every round counts. A hard low kick can have consequences later on. A heavy right-hander can change everything. A moment’s hesitation can mean the difference between carrying on and being eliminated.

That’s what makes War for the Crown so dangerous.

Not just for the fighters.

But for any prediction, too.

Because in the heavyweight division, there are no certainties.

The favourite could be knocked out.

The underdog might rise to the occasion.

And one name that’s barely mentioned beforehand might suddenly be on everyone’s lips by the end of the evening.

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

The Lotto Arena won’t have the usual atmosphere

Antwerp has seen some epic battles, but this event brings something different to the table.

A tournament creates excitement even before the first bell rings. Every result changes the narrative. Every winner moves closer to the crown. Every loser sees their journey come to an abrupt end.

That is what the fans at the Lotto Arena are set to experience.

Not just during the matches, but also in between them.

Who will come out on top?

Who will keep a cool head?

Who can cope with the pressure when thousands of eyes are on them?

And above all:

who really dares to believe that the crown is meant for him?

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

Experience versus hunger

The field of competitors includes experienced names, but also heavyweights who are keen to seize their chance on this very stage.

For the established riders, there is a lot at stake. They are expected to deliver.

For the challengers, something different lies in store.

An opportunity.

A victory at the right moment can fast-track a career. A dominant performance can suddenly transform a relatively unknown name into a figure no one can ignore.

That is the beauty of a tournament.

You don’t get a crown handed to you on a plate.

You have to fight for it.

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

Here’s why you’ll want to be there

Some events are the sort you look back on.

Others are the sort you want to have experienced.

War for the Crown has everything it takes to be just such an evening.

A packed arena. International heavyweights. A knockout that could come out of nowhere. A favourite under pressure. An underdog who refuses to step aside.

And hanging over it all is that one question:

who will ultimately come closest to the crown?

On 3 October 2026, the answer will begin to unfold at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp.

Not with words.

Not with predictions.

But with fists.

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

WAR FOR THE CROWN

Sixteen heavyweights. One mission. No second chances.
