Woerden – Knockoutnews had the privilege of attending NL LEGENDS Woerden, a martial arts gala that exceeded all expectations and left a deep impression on both the audience and connoisseurs of the sport. With an impressive programme of 39 kickboxing bouts – including 7 youth bouts, 19 N bouts, 10 C bouts and 3 B bouts – the evening was all about quality, intensity and pure fighter’s mentality.

The B-matches were absolute proof of what high-level martial arts means. The fighters showed unprecedented willpower and mental toughness, alternating between heavy combinations and well thought-out tactics. Not for a moment were they switched back; every match was a fight to the limit. The N and C sides also made a big impression. To the surprise of Knockoutnews, which has now attended numerous galas, the high number of heavy knockouts in these categories immediately stood out. The intensity, explosiveness and technical skills were at a remarkably high level. Regularly, the level of fighting was reminiscent of that of higher classes, underlining the enormous development and depth of talent within these divisions.

The ring announcer managed to set the right atmosphere with his powerful and professional announcements, while the presence and short speech of the director of the NVB further underlined the importance and status of the event.

Woerden, 31 January 2026 – Knockoutnews was warmly received at the NL LEGENDS martial arts event in Woerden on Saturday. Upon arrival, the editors were immediately assigned a place by the ring, allowing them to follow the event very closely.

NL LEGENDS guaranteed an evening full of spectacle, with high-level fights and an enthusiastic audience creating an energetic atmosphere in the venue. The organisers showed that the event is now a firm and valued name within the Dutch martial arts world.

During the evening, Knockoutnews spoke to Noach Blyden, who was present as a supporter of three fighters. In the interview, Blyden talked about the importance of support along the sidelines and the close bond between fighters and their team. He also addressed his personal future plans within combat sports, stating that he is motivated to keep developing.
